Firefighters doused a shed fire at 2 Reed Road at approximately 3 p.m., saying there was some damage to a fence as well. The initial call came in as a brush fire at 2:52 p.m.

A woman reported at 2:54 p.m. that her daughter was assaulted during a domestic incident with a man. The victim was picked up from Lt. Ross Park and taken to Tedeschi’s on Lowell Street by an officer. Police said they would issue a court summons for the man.

One person was escorted off the property by security after a report of an assault involving two employees at Brooksby Village at 5:27 p.m.

A caller reported a purse was stolen from a dressing room at Macy’s at 7:21 p.m.

Richard C. Zelandi, 28, of Revere was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license at 8:05 p.m., following a motor vehicle stop at Babies R Us on Route 114.

A caller reported a vehicle went through a stop sign at Russell Street at 30 mph, almost hitting a family in a vehicle at 8:09 p.m.

Police responded to a report of a robbery at Gardner Park Variety at 9:41 p.m. Police said a man in an orange jacket and a black shirt pulled up over his mouth and nose allegedly ordered the clerk to the floor and took an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapons were shown. The clerk said the robber was about six feet tall, medium build and also wearing gloves and black pants. The store closed for the night and police said they would be reviewing surveillance footage.

Joseph Hussien, 50, of 148A Washington St., Peabody, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery at 10:25 p.m. following a report of a domestic incident at his residence.

Jennifer Goodman, 43, of 22 Bertuccio Ave., Salem, was arrested at 11:47 p.m. on Route 1 by the jughandle on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and a marked lanes violation.
