BEVERLY — While a pair of honeymooners from Douglas Avenue were away celebrating their nuptials, a Fourth of July party at their house resulted in 14 arrests, one summons and an ongoing investigation, police said. Mainly the arrests involve underage drinking.
Police were called to the Independence Day bash at 11:40 a.m. They believe news of the party was spread via social media. Whether someone in the family let the crowd in or they came uninvited will determine if charges of breaking and entering are added, police said. Currently, police are investigating whether someone in the family had a role in hosting the party.
Arrested on charges of drinking while under 21 were Nina Hostage, 18, 50 Castle View Drive, Gloucester; Rozh L. Arran, 20, 8 Robinson Road, Beverly; Kenneth Kahuthia Karuoya, 18, 21A Story Ave., Beverly; Ian E. Lewiecki, 18, 35 Belcher St., Essex; Bianca R. Lorenzetti, 19, 3 Pond View Road, Peabody; Jaelyn Marie Militello, 18, 86 Witham St., Gloucester; and Denison M. Novas-Avila, 19, 60 Story Ave., Beverly, who was also wanted on an outstanding warrant. Rufus J. Hall, 21, 30 Bisson St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of minors.
Juvenile arrests, meaning under age 18, were not released.
Responding to the party were Patrolmen Scott Leblanc, Joshua Pickett, John McCarthy, Daniel DiVincenzo and Sgt. Richard Russo.
