Fashion show will benefit animal rescue groups

SALEM — This fashion show is for the dogs (and cats).

"Pawsitively Fashionable," scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 19, at the Hawthorne Hotel, will raise money for three local animal rescue groups: Pals Animal Life Savers in Salem, Friends of Marblehead's Abandoned Animals and MassPaws.

The event, hosted by comedian Tony V, will feature fashions for adults provided by Signatures in Salem and fashions for children provided by Fashion Playtes. There will also be a boutique with items for pets and accessories for their owners and a raffle.

Tickets, $30 per person, include a buffet of tea sandwiches and sweets. A cash bar will also be available. The fundraiser will go from 1 to 4 p.m.

Tickets are available at Signatures, 181 Essex St., Salem; by calling Donna at 781-535-8635; or at the door on the day of the event.

Donations of pet food for animal foster homes are always appreciated.
