A car break-in was reported at 512 Broughton Drive at 11:33 a.m.


Police were called to 37 Central St. at 4:10 p.m. on a report of a “possible sick raccoon.” A resident described the raccoon as “belligerent.” Police advised the resident to call “pest control or squirt it with a hose.”



An employee of Victoria’s Secret at the Northshore Mall reported at 6:41 p.m. that an “unknown party” stole approximately $1,400 in panties as the store was closing its doors for the evening.


A vehicle was reported “into the tree” at 230 Lynn St., according to a 4:37 a.m. report. An officer reported the operator also struck the wall at 234 Lynn St. The driver refused medical attention.

A caller reported to police at 7:49 a.m. there was a construction vehicle outside his house in the vicinity of 55 Harris St. working too early in the morning. The person was “concerned that painters at 55 Harris St. were using foul language,” according to the report.

Two $15 sun globes were reported stolen from the backyard of 44 Fulton St., according to a 9:06 a.m. report.

Griffin M. Ward, 29, of Revere, was arrested on two counts of larceny over $250 and possessing a burglarious instrument. He was arrested at J.C. Penney, 210 Andover St., at 10:17 a.m.

Christina Alcala, 20, of 17 Keys Drive, Apt. 10, Peabody, was arrested at 11:08 a.m. on charges of domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police were called to her home on a report of a “domestic between two females.”



Thomas R. Parson, 56, of 23 Glendale St., Salem, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery and attempted murder. Parson allegedly grabbed a woman by the throat and pushed her into a car, prompting the attempted murder charge, police said.

Maryanne C. Labbe, 52, of 5 Sutton Terrace, Salem, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery on Boston Street at 7:34 p.m.
