At 7:14 p.m., an officer at 91 Lafayette St. arrested Michael John Russell, 29, of 116 Lafayette St., Salem, on charges of disorderly conduct and illegal possession of a class B substance.

A security guard at 1000 Loring Ave. reported at 8:51 p.m. that a man he believed was “unhappy with management” had approached him outside the building and “put his finger up to his face and poked him in the nose.” The guard refused medical attention.

An officer responded to 18 Shillaber St. after an 8:55 p.m. report of harassment and determined a woman’s son had gotten “very upset that she was taking her other son away camping.” The son subsequently went online and posted “rude remarks” on Facebook about his mother’s boyfriend and his two children, then sent “several nasty texts” to the man, she said. The officer advised the man to “avoid Facebook” and “avoid any more texts” from the woman’s son.

Police were unable to locate anything amiss in the area of 116 Lafayette St. after a 10:16 p.m. report that a female was yelling for help.

An officer responded to 18 Clark Ave. after a 10:30 p.m. report that people were urinating in the roadway and spoke to a man who said that “tonight and usually on the weekends, there are urination stains in the middle of the road in front of his house.” The man said “he has seen male parties he does not recognize walking down the street when it gets dark” and that “he has not witnessed the occurrences, just the aftermaths.” The officer advised him to call police “should he observe the above occurrences.”
