A man on Endicott Street was handed an emergency abuse prevention order and banished from the residence after a woman appeared at the Beverly Hospital emergency room saying she had been assaulted, according to the log at 3:01 p.m.

As logged at 3:24 p.m. a woman told police her purse was stolen as she was getting an MRI at Northshore MRI on Centennial Drive.

Here’s a new reason not to smoke at the Northshore Mall. Not only is it forbidden, but a Pepperell man who did it anyway managed to set off the smoke alarms. He was warned not to smoke in the mall again, according to the log at 4:42 p.m.

A dachshund named Buddy is not, apparently, a buddy to everyone. A woman on Catherine Drive reported at 5:48 p.m. that the animal bit her. A citation and a 10-day quarantine notice was sent to owner Sheila Higgins.

A man reported the theft of a $2,000 plow from the Roadhouse Pub on Pulaski Street, as logged at 11:58 p.m.


Police reacted to a report at 8:43 a.m. of a Verizon employee “doing work in a ladder and ... an elderly male yelling at her.” It turned out both worked for Verizon.

A man on Overlook Trail reported at 12:28 p.m. what he believes was mail fraud in his eBay purchase.

During a visit to Woodbridge Assisted Living Community on Lynnfield Street a woman told police $250 in cash was stolen from her purse, as logged at 12:50 p.m. Police were documenting the incident.

Police in Peabody and Danvers responded to a report of man assaulting woman at 1:07 p.m. The woman could not be located.

A person on Buxton Lane called police at 1:11 p.m. after seeing someone drinking a beer while driving. The vehicle could not be located. A license plate number was provided.
