Tracy selected as H-W principal

HAMILTON — Eric Tracy, principal of Wilmington High School, has been selected to become the next principal of Hamilton-Wenham Regional High.

Superintendent Michael Harvey said in a letter to parents that Tracy "has the right combination of attributes necessary for leading HWRHS to new heights of excellence."

Tracy has been principal of Wilmington High since 2004. He began his career as a technology and science teacher and has previously worked as an assistant principal in Peabody and Salem. He has a bachelor’s degree in industrial science and education from Fitchburg State College and a master’s in education administration from Cambridge College.

"It was clear Eric will bring to HWRHS a vision for developing the programs at the school necessary to prepare our students to be successful in the 21st century," Harvey said. "Through his eight years leading Wilmington High School, Eric has demonstrated that he has a firm command over curriculum and program development, is an expert in technology integration, and is a skilled communicator."

Tracy was selected over fellow finalist Kristen Vogel, an assistant principal at Bedford High.
