Beverly Lobster Boat Race winners

BEVERLY — The 15th annual Lobster Boat Races were held Sunday off Woodbury Point as part of the Beverly Homecoming festivities. Nine lobster boats competed in a free-for-all race and in head-to-head races based on boat length, hull type and engine size.

The winners of each race were:

Free-for-all race

First place — Farrah & Ryan, Capt. Finn

Second place — James & Christine, Capt. Mike Cornell

Third place — Catharine Rose, Capt. Hersey

Head-to-head race 1

First place — Sea Anchor, Capt. Therese Sauvageau

Second place — Red Devil, Capt. Dana Rowand

Third place — Janie M, Capt. Michael Malewicki

Head-to-head race 2

First place — Farrah & Ryan, Capt. Finn

Second place — James & Christine, Capt. Mike Cornell

Third place — Catharine Rose, Capt. Hersey
