Limited free parking available for holidays

BEVERLY — The city is once again offering free parking in the downtown area during the holidays.

People will be able to park for free for up to two hours on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between Thanksgiving and New Year’s at any on-street or off-street metered parking spot in downtown Beverly.

The free parking is designed to encourage shoppers to patronize local businesses during the holiday season, city officials said.

Anyone who parks longer than two hours will be subject to enforcement. “Feeding” of meters or pay stations is not allowed.
