Police arrest two after back-to-back shoplifting incidents

---- — DANVERS — Police say two people were arrested on third-offense shoplifting charges after two separate incidents at Wal-Mart at 55 Brooksby Village Drive within about 45 minutes Sunday afternoon.

Cynthia Keith, 23, of 3 Rainbow Terrace, Salem, was arrested on charges of shoplifting by asportation, third offense; and three counts of possession of a class E drug, according to the incident log.

Also arrested was Robert Akins, 44, of 39 Bowdoin St., Boston, on a charge of shoplifting by asportation, third offense.

An officer responded to the store after a 5:17 p.m. report of a female shoplifter and arrested Keith.

Another officer responded to the store at 5:56 p.m. after a second report of a female shoplifter. Atkins was subsequently arrested.
