A criminal citation was handed to a Tri City taxi operator for striking a pole and then leaving the scene to complete a fare at 9:46 a.m. near Elm and Harris streets.
A woman on Gerald Road called police about a suspicious vehicle at 12:09 p.m. When police questioned the man in the car, they said he checked out because he was a private investigator.
After a woman got back to her Green Street home at 8:14 p.m., she said she saw her screen door slashed and also realized her checks were missing.

During a verbal argument, police responded to a complaint on Hale Street that a man was "yelling, screaming and spitting" at 10:26 p.m.

A small brush fire was extinguished near a resident's fence line on Kennell Hill Drive at 1:48 a.m.

Police told two men that if they wanted to bring assault charges stemming from a confrontation inside Wendy's on Lafayette Street at 4:30 p.m they could do so in court.
The driver's side mirror was knocked off a car parked on Essex Street at 4:52 p.m. The car that caused the damage did not stay on scene.
Two individuals sleeping on the grass just off Derby Street at 6:33 p.m. were sent on their way by police.
Jose L. Espinal Jr., 20, of 8 Harris St. in Peabody, was arrested and charged with driving a car with defective equipment, a red light or stop sign violation and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. The arrest was made at 7:11 p.m. near Washington and Dodge streets.
Three mountain bikes were stolen out of a garage on Liberty Hill Avenue at 8:20 p.m.
A Washington Street resident told police about a problem with a neighbor who has been "banging on the outside walls in the hallway ... (and) yelling and screaming about how he can't stand (her) or her boyfriend." The call to police was made at 8:39 p.m. The resident also said the noise was waking her 1-year-old daughter.

Rafael Brito, 27, of 72 Walnut St. in Peabody, was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace at 1:17 a.m. on Klop Alley after officers responded to loud music coming from Brito's motor vehicle.
The rear window of a business on Church Street was smashed and reported to police at 6:57 a.m. The 12-by-24-foot window was smashed presumably by a rock an employee found inside the building when he arrived.
Melinda S. Zachari, 32, of 18 Lander St. in Lynn, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a red light or stop sign violation at 9:31 a.m. on Congress Street.
When an officer pulled over a Nissan Altima for a broken taillight on Derby Street, police said sitting in the driver's lap "in plain view" was a marijuana blunt. The driver, however, was straightforward in admitting that the officer's suspicions were correct when asked. He was issued a civil citation for the 11:55 a.m. incident.
Jason Eric McLaughlin, 23, of 1000 Loring Ave. in Salem, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and battery with injury on a child at 2:13 p.m. on Highland Avenue.

Police responded to Holten Richmond School on reports of a fight at 9:07 a.m.
Nicole Thain, 29, of 365 Meridian St. in Boston, was arrested and charged with shoplifting from Walmart on Brooksby Village Drive at 1:19 p.m.
Justin Corneliusen, 23, of 1000 Kirkbride Drive in Danvers, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and violating an abuse prevention order at 2:34 p.m. on the above road.

Gustavo Batista, 17, of 6 Stevens St. Apt. 2 in Peabody, and Daniel M. Pereira, 22, of 2 Sanborn St. Apt. 1 in Peabody, were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at 2:31 p.m. on Central Street.
David J. Ghiozzi, 41, of 695 Lynnfield St. in Lynn, was arrested and charged with shoplifting from Sears on Andover Street at 4:58 p.m.
Christopher P. Kordis, 19, of 10 Castle Circle in Peabody, was arrested and charged with driving an uninsured motor vehicle, following too close and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration at 5:14 p.m. on Central Street.

Joseph P. Robinson, 24, of 38 Baker Road in Salisbury, was arrested and charged with drunken driving, speeding in violation of special regulation and marked lanes violation at 1:54 p.m. on Route 95 North.
