A fundraiser for the dogs

DANVERS — Local artists and dog lovers turned out Thursday at the Danvers Art Association for a silent auction to benefit Friends of Danvers Dog Park.

The fundraiser included art, music, refreshments and door prizes.

The group is raising money to build an off-leash area for dogs within Endicott Park.

Construction is expected to begin this spring.
