Police received a 3:13 p.m. report from an Andover Street caller who said there was a large dog on her porch. “She is unfamiliar with the animal and fears it is aggressive,” police wrote. An officer located the dog’s owner, determined that the animal had been struck by a car and said later that the dog would be hospitalized.
Vases and figurines worth $1,100 were stolen from a Lincoln Place residence, according to a 5:25 p.m. report.
A red backpack containing work files, an iPad and some change was stolen from an unlocked car on Hawkes Street, according to a 9:08 a.m. report.
A Neptune Road man reported at 5:24 p.m. that he woke and the dirt bike he had been fixing for his nephew was gone.
Police received a 1:09 a.m. report from a Pearl Street man who said he had seen two men in baggy clothing breaking into cars. Officers were unable to locate them.
A Farrell Court man was hospitalized after calling police at 1:14 a.m. and telling them, “I gotta go, I gotta go.” Police wrote: “When asked what was wrong, he said he didn’t know, he just needed to go to the hospital.”
A man on Farrell Court reported at 8:53 a.m. that several cars there had been vandalized with white spray paint overnight.
Police, an ambulance and the Fire Department responded to a 2:08 p.m. report that an elderly man was on the ground at an Ocean Avenue address, but police later determined that he was “sleeping in yard.”
A caller reported that a man and woman with a child were smoking marijuana on Lafayette Street at 3:02 p.m. Police were unable to locate them.
Police received a 911 call with “no sound” from a Roosevelt Avenue address at 7:39 p.m. Police wrote: “On call back, child reports baby sister called.”
