Police received an 11:05 a.m. report that a disabled truck with a loose gas tank was “in a dangerous position” at Pleasant and Smith streets.
A woman reported at 12:22 p.m. that a well-dressed man between 22 and 28 years old had possibly taken “a pole” on Columbia Road.
Police received a 12:50 p.m. report of an altercation, possibly involving a knife, between neighbors on Guernsey Street. Police wrote: “911 caller reports a fight in progress. He stated that one of the combatants had a knife or club and was attempting to use it. The weapon was then taken away from him by the other combatant.” Police made no arrests after responding to the location.
A man found tools in a box on the roadway at Green Street and Lincoln Avenue, according to a 1:23 p.m. report.
A Merritt Street woman reported at 2:30 p.m. that a boat yard adjacent to her property was dumping trash in her yard.
A 65-year-old Power Terrace woman was transported to Salem Hospital after a 4:16 a.m. report that she’d dislocated her hip.
A “combative” woman with a red umbrella had gone into a Washington Street store and acted in a threatening manner toward an employee, according to a 1:57 p.m. report. Police were unable to locate her.
An 83-year-old Beverly Avenue woman was hospitalized after a 4:04 p.m. report that she was “unresponsive but breathing heavily.”
Police responded to a 5:11 p.m. report that a boom box had been blasting “all day” in a yard on Elm Street. An officer wrote later, “The parties will be more considerate in the future,” but a caller subsequently reported that the music was back on. An officer then determined that it was on again but at an acceptable level for the time of day.
