A 7:24 p.m. report of a drunken driver at Higgins and Mohawk roads resulted in the arrest of Frederick Abbott Deroo, 71, of 10 Sagamore Road, Marblehead, on a charge of drunken driving.

Police received a 9:09 p.m. report that a male had approached two girls at the high school on Humphrey Street and asked how old they were.

A man reported at 9:12 p.m. that a 16-year-old male skateboarder with a cowboy hat had grabbed onto his mirror at the intersection of Tedesco and Maple streets. Police wrote: “He was trying to hitch a ride.” The man said the boy let go when his wife banged on the window.

Police conducted a traffic stop at Ocean Avenue and Wallace Road at 12:09 a.m. and subsequently arrested Joseph A. McCabe, 49, of 515 Burncoat St., Worcester, on charges of drunken driving, speeding, license not in possession and registration not in possession.

Police received a 2:10 p.m. report that a woman in a 5 Guys uniform had left the Salem Hospital emergency room with an IV still attached to her arm. “They are looking to have it removed if someone comes across her,” wrote police.

A “No Parking” sign had gone missing from in front of the fire station on Franklin Street, according to a 2:54 p.m. report.

A 3-year-old boy had gone missing from a house on Orne Street, according to a 6:44 p.m. report. “Child was found at the neighbor’s house,” police wrote later.

Police received an 11:45 a.m. report that a male “with no clothes on” was traveling inbound on Essex Street on a motorcycle. Police didn’t report finding him.

The assistant harbormaster reported at 5:59 p.m. that “some very young kids without adult supervision” were jumping from the pier near 365 Humphrey St. and ignoring his instructions to stop. “Made contact with subjects,” an officer wrote later, “advised not to jump off pier anymore.”
