A 2:17 p.m. report of a shoplifter brought police to the CVS at 200 Essex St., where they confronted him. “He left the store and upon being checked he had no store merchandise on his person,” wrote police.

Police responded to a 3:14 p.m. report of a disturbance at 31 Salem St. and determined two people were arguing over “financial issues.”



Police responded to a 4:25 p.m. report that a father was arguing with his daughter at 43 Federal St. and subsequently arrested Rene Samuel Palomo, 53, of 431/2 Federal St., Beverly, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

A 4:26 p.m. report that a male was “yelling,” “screaming” and “throwing things” brought police to 245 Cabot St., where they were unable to locate him.

The Fire Department and police responded to a 5:50 p.m. report of smoke in the building at 122 Bridge St. and determined it was from food that had been left on a stove with nobody home. “Beverly fire made entry,” wrote police. “Food removed.”

A 9:06 p.m. report of a “disgruntled beachgoer” brought police to West Street, where they determined a man had been yelled at by somebody.


A Sohier Road woman reported at 11:49 a.m. that her flowers had been dumped out and the pot was missing. Police wrote: “Requested extra patrols ...”

Two tires were stolen from a car parked at 224 Elliott St., according to an 11:51 a.m. report.



Police were unable to locate boxes that were reported to be in the roadway at Ash and Lawrence streets at 5:05 p.m.


A vehicle at 24 Walter Road had been broken into, according to a 9:21 a.m. report.

Police received a 1:55 p.m. report of counterfeit bills from the Dunkin’ Donuts at 79 Andover St.

A 3:57 p.m. report of an unwanted guest brought police to the Liberty Tree Mall. A 23-year-old Lynn man was subsequently arrested on a warrant.
