A resident of Noble Hill Road reported at 1:35 p.m. that someone had used her Social Security number to file an income tax return and claim a refund.
The owners of Dan the black Labrador retriever were warned after a caller reported finding the dog running loose on Lynn Street at 9:16 a.m. The animal control officer advised Dan’s people that they would face a citation if Dan got loose again.
In unrelated loose dog news, a woman on Roosevelt Avenue called police at 11 a.m. after finding a German shepherd in her yard. The owner was contacted and retrieved the dog. Shortly after that, the owner was mailed a notice that Sasha does not have a current license.
A third loose dog, a tan hound, was found in a yard on Baldwin Street at 1:13 p.m.
Carman Zammitti, 36, of Stoneham, was arrested at Wal-Mart, Brooksby Village Drive, on a charge of shoplifting as well as on a charge of possessing a firearm without a license, at 7:24 p.m.
Police were investigating a report of a shoplifter at Nordstrom Rack at 4:20 p.m.
Two people were arrested on charges that they were breaking into a property at 1006 Paradise Road at 3:11 p.m. Christopher Fountain, 24, of 34 Forley Ave., Ipswich, and Samantha Pike, 24, of 4 Wildes Court, Ipswich, were arrested on charges of breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony and possession of burglarious tools. Fountain was also charged with violating the town’s knife bylaw.
