Police went to Salem Hospital at 12:28 p.m. for a report of an assault on a security guard. Police said they will seek a warrant for the arrest of a suspect on charges that include assault and battery on an elder and assault and battery on a health care worker.
Christopher Evans, 45, of 14 Waverly St., Everett, was arrested at 1:08 p.m. on Boston Street on a charge of drinking in public and on two outstanding warrants.

Police went to the Stop & Shop parking lot on Paradise Road at 4:10 p.m. on a report of an intoxicated person. Police called the man’s brother, who came to pick him up.
Police went to a Mountwood Road residence at 10:47 p.m. on a report of a 90-year-old woman who had fallen and cut her head.
Police went to a Cherry Court residence at 2:38 a.m. on a report of a disturbance. After being told of an alleged past assault, two men were advised they could go to Lynn District Court and take out complaints.
Police received a phone call at 11:37 p.m. alleging a fight was in progress outside a restaurant on Pleasant Street with “six combatants.” A man at the scene told police he had fallen off his skateboard and several people had stopped to help him, but said there was no fight.
