A homeless man was reported sleeping in a parking lot at Crombie and Norman streets at 8:16 a.m. Police sent him on his way and contacted the Community Impact Unit to follow up the case.

A city employee reported vandalism to the men’s bathroom at Klop Alley. The plumbing was damaged when someone tried to pull a urinal off the wall.

A man was sent on his way after he was found at 10:37 a.m. on the beach at the rear of the Ward 2 Social Club.

Clifford Toussaint, 44, of 56 River St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of trespassing after police received a report at 11:51 a.m. of someone trying to squeeze through a gap in the front gate at Salem Harbor Station power plant.

Police received a report at 1:23 p.m. of homeless individuals living under the Congress Street bridge.

William Devaux, 35, of 33 Irving Road, Natick, was arrested at 1:31 p.m. at Market Basket on Highland Avenue on a charge of larceny of items worth more than $250.

Kirk Wonson, 44, of 120 Washington St., Gloucester, was arrested at 3:25 p.m. on Lafayette Street following a motor vehicle stop on charges of illegal possession of Suboxone, a prescription medicine; defective equipment and a general traffic violation.

Police responded to Lafayette Street at 4:34 p.m. on a report of a manhole exploding.

Fa Xu Xiang, 38, of 30 Leach St. was arrested at 6:48 p.m. at his residence on a charge of assault by means of a dangerous weapon (a metal coffee mug).



Christine Hebert, 47, of 18 Hampshire Road, Peabody, was arrested at Wal-Mart, 55 Brooksby Village Drive, Danvers, at 5:47 p.m. on charges of disorderly conduct and trespassing.

James Riordan, 24, of 20 Andrews Road, Topsfield, was arrested at 7:22 p.m. on Collins Street after police received a report of a “truck all over the road.” He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, a marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and illegal possession of prescription drugs.
