Letter carriers' food drive tomorrow

The National Association of Letter Carriers is holding its 22nd annual food drive tomorrow in conjunction with the U.S. Postal Service and the AFL-CIO.

Letter carriers will pick up canned goods and nonperishable items that are left on doorsteps or next to mailboxes. They ask that donors avoid glass containers.

A total of 74 million pounds of food was collected last year.

All of the food is distributed locally to shelters, food pantries and organizations that serve the needy.
