Silvano Rivera Jr., 37, of 42 Joy St., Apt. E, Lynn, was arrested at Sears, 210S Andover St., at 3:09 p.m. and charged with shoplifting merchandise worth more than $100 and two counts of receiving stolen property, one worth more than $250 and the other worth less than $250.

Police responded to Central Street at 3:23 p.m. on a report that a woman believes a neighbor is placing nude adult advertisements on her vehicle. The reporting party does not have any suspects.

A shed was reported broken into at 32 Mt. Vernon St. at 5:48 p.m., and nearly $1000 in fishing gear was missing.

A UPS package with $55 worth of cosmetics inside was reported missing at 5:56 p.m. after being delivered to an apartment on Tuesday at the Tannery Gardens, 11 Foster St.

The Peabody Fire Department doused a bonfire at 24 Dane St. at 9:13 p.m.

Thursday

Heriberto Pabellon Torres, 48, of 49 Fulton St., Apt. 2, Peabody, was arrested at 1:38 p.m. in the vicinity of 82 Prospect St. and 230 Andover St. (Route 114) and charged with driving with a suspended license.

Wednesday

A resident came to the station on Margin Street to report at 5:54 p.m. that while at Mansell Park earlier in the day someone stole her mini-backpack diaper bag. The bag contained Social Security and EBT cards.

Police responded to 12 Pope St. at 8:23 p.m. for a report of a past larceny of a wedding ring and a Guess watch. The owner suspects a guest who was staying with her.

Police and Salem Fire responded to a fire alarm at 36 Derby St. at 9:30 p.m. Responders found smoke in the apartment due to products left on the stove while it was lit.

Police responded to a possible domestic disturbance in a vehicle on the Beverly-Salem bridge at 9:31 p.m. Police located a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta abandoned in the right outbound lane of the bypass road. A couple was located in separate locations. The two had argued over the woman’s operation of the car’s clutch, causing damage to it. The car was towed for impeding the roadway, and the couple were sent on their way.
