Silvano Rivera Jr., 37, of 42 Joy St., Apt. E, Lynn, was arrested at Sears, 210S Andover St., at 3:09 p.m. and charged with shoplifting merchandise worth more than $100 and two counts of receiving stolen property, one worth more than $250 and the other worth less than $250.
Police responded to Central Street at 3:23 p.m. on a report that a woman believes a neighbor is placing nude adult advertisements on her vehicle. The reporting party does not have any suspects.

Police responded to a possible domestic disturbance in a vehicle on the Beverly-Salem bridge at 9:31 p.m. Police located a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta abandoned in the right outbound lane of the bypass road. A couple was located in separate locations. The two had argued over the woman’s operation of the car’s clutch, causing damage to it. The car was towed for impeding the roadway, and the couple were sent on their way.
