Police were unable to locate the solicitors who were reported to be selling meat on Raymond Circle at 4:05 p.m.
Police received a 6:06 p.m. report that youths were on the roof of the Higgins Middle School on King Street. Police wrote later: “The youths were removed from the roof, brought to the station and turned over to their mothers.”
An 11:47 p.m. report that a man was defecating in a foyer brought police to a Central Street address. An officer wrote later: “Resident in dire situation and couldn’t make it in. He will take care of the mess.”
Police received an 8:53 a.m. report from the superintendent at Corbiel Park that “someone damaged the grass at the park by driving on it.” The parks department planned to “find some large rocks to block the entrance to the field,” police wrote.
Police received an 8:26 p.m. report that three children had been abandoned at the Econo Lodge at 152 Endicott St.
Police received a 1:57 p.m. report of boyfriend-girlfriend domestic dispute at the Liberty Tree Mall.
Police went to the aid of a biker involved in a motorcycle crash at 1:59 p.m. The rider lost control as she made a turn on Margin Street heading inbound in front of the police station. The rider was thrown from the bike onto a grassy area, striking the handlebars of the bike with her face and torso. She did not suffer serious injury and was on her feet and talking when police arrived.
A 7:10 p.m. report that a man and woman were fighting brought police to 4 Kelly Road. Subsequently arrested was Douglas W. Donaldson, 29, homeless, on charges of domestic assault and battery, assault and battery of a person disabled or older than 60, threatening to commit a crime and breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony. Donaldson got into a dispute with his mother outside her home, where he wasn’t welcome, according to the log.
