A possum was struck by a car at Humphrey and Phillips streets at 10:34 a.m.
Mohammed Zidouh, 35, of Winthrop was arrested at 1:18 p.m. at Marshall’s on Paradise Road on a charge of shoplifting.
Police notified the DPW at 5:37 p.m. of several dead possums on Humphrey Street.
A Park Square resident called the Fire Department at 6:19 p.m. to report she had been bitten by a mouse.
Police received a report at 9:47 a.m. of an ongoing property-line dispute. A man said he put up a stockade fence several inches inside his property line and claimed his neighbor is using a tool to dig under the fence and pull plants toward her house. Police said they will put this report on file.
Police received a report at 6:20 p.m. of a missing 7-year-old boy on Mechanic Street. After a brief search involving police officers and firefighters, the child was found a short distance away.
A car fire was reported at 4:15 p.m. at Final Finish on Walnut Street. The business owner told police he would handle the situation.
Jeimy Victoria, 22, 52 Highland Ave., Apt. 3, Salem, was arrested at 7:03 p.m. at Macy’s in Northshore Mall on a charge of shoplifting.
Police received a report at 2:39 a.m. of a car running into a pole near 156 Lowell St. The driver, a 23-year-old woman, was transported to the hospital and issued a citation for a marked lanes violation.
Joseph Bartolotti, 52, 196 North St., Groton, was arrested at 8:55 a.m. on Corporate Place on a charge of driving without a license and on an outstanding warrant. Police responded to a report of a suspicious motor vehicle parked in the employee side entrance to a building.
A Peabody High student who had been suspended from school showed up on school grounds around 10 a.m. Police escorted the 19-year-old back to his residence and also cited him for possession of marijuana. His car was towed.
