Police responded to Cavendish Circle at 12:17 p.m. for a report of a possible domestic dispute with a knife shown. George E. Thompson, 48, of 5 Cavendish Circle, Salem, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery.

Wyatt Lee Paige, 34, of 293 Lafayette St., Salem, was arrested at 3:04 p.m. and charged with violating a harassment prevention order, witness intimidation and threatening to commit a crime.

Police responded to a report at 3:05 p.m. that someone had smashed a glass door on a backhoe parked behind Wal-Mart at 450 Highland Ave.

Beverly

Tuesday

Jeffrey James Gonsalves, 52, of 339 Moraine St., Marshfield, and Nukindra S. Quarles, 37, homeless, were arrested at 8:43 p.m. after a stop in the vicinity of 20 Sohier Road. Gonsalves was charged with distributing cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug laws, and Quarles was charged with cocaine distribution.

Wednesday

Police took a report of a hit and run at 11:19 a.m. at 20 Sohier Road. The Beverly Housing Authority is reviewing surveillance video.

James Everett White, 73, of 490 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery at 1:09 p.m. at his residence.

Daniel R. Ciman, 30, of 139 East St., Middleton, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs at 1:26 p.m. at 420 Cabot St. after a report of an erratic operator.

Police cited a motorist on Chapman and Bow streets at 8:38 p.m. for having an expired, nonrenewable registration. A small amount of marijuana was seized and placed in evidence and marked for destruction.

After a report of an erratic operator, Lisa D. Bell, 41, of 9 Lakeside Ave., Beverly was arrested on Dodge Street and Pershing Avenue and charged with drunken driving at 10:18 p.m.

Thursday

Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Sohier Road and Lyman Street after someone spotted a female with a holster at 9:01 a.m. Police found it was a Beverly High student in costume for a student costume day. The holster was taken by school staff.
