North Shore Community College holds 48th commencement

NSCC 48th commencement

What: North Shore Community College’s 48th commencement

Where: O’Keefe Center at Salem State University

When: Thursday, May 22, at 6 p.m.

Graduates: Nearly 1,000 students receiving associate degrees and certificates

Speakers: Andre Dubus III, author and full-time faculty member of the English Department at University of Massachusetts Lowell gave the commencement address; Juliet Carty Greene of Salem, who received her associate degree in medical administrative assisting, gave the student speech.

Award of note: Class of 1985 nurse education program graduate Peggy Andreas, a family team nurse with Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program, received the alumni association’s 2014 distinguished alumnus award.
