Marblehead

Thursday

A child on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle while trying to cross Lafayette Street, according to a 2:39 p.m. log item. The child was subsequently transported to a hospital with undisclosed injuries. “Mother in route from work, will meet them at the hospital,” police wrote.

Friday

Police received a 6:32 a.m. report that somebody on Pleasant Street had “pulled a tree out of the ground and took it on the bus with them.”

Swampscott

Thursday

A package had been stolen from a porch at 60 Humphrey St., according to a 5:29 p.m. log item.

A Glen Road man reported at 6:30 p.m. that a neighbor “may have dumped a TV on his property.”

Peabody

Thursday

An 18-year-old woman was transported to Salem Hospital from a Veterans Memorial Drive address after a 2:15 p.m. report that she “caught finger in door, finger appears to be hanging.”

Police received a 2:41 p.m. report that a woman had been thrown down stairs at a Veterans Memorial Drive address. Subsequently arrested was Joseph Christopulos, 36, of 44 Veterans Memorial Drive, Peabody, on charges of assault and battery and intimidation of a witness.

Police were unable to locate an intoxicated person who was reported to be on the sidewalk in front of Bunghole Liquors on Lowell Street about 9:45 p.m. Police returned to the area after a 10:24 p.m. report of a “party that is intoxicated, incoherent and suicidal.” A 35-year-old local man was taken into protective custody.

Friday

A Madison Avenue woman reported at 6:57 a.m. that somebody had dumped an “unknown, suspicious black suitcase” next to some trash in front of her house. “Officer reports the suitcase was dumped by an unknown person,” police wrote later. “Item will be picked up with the trash.”

A 28-year-old Lawrence man will be summonsed to court on a charge of disturbing a funeral procession after police conducted a traffic stop on Central Street about 11 a.m.
