Andrew R. Brancato, 43, of 107 Lake St., Peabody, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and a lights violation at 8:48 p.m.
A police officer began to approach a car he had pulled over on the side of Newbury Street when "the driver fled." Police reported around 10:25 p.m. that the car was last seen heading north on Route 128. The driver, Tyler W. Lapointe, 23, of 12 Converse Court, Beverly, was eventually pulled over and issued a criminal summons, according to the report. He will be charged with operating a vehicle with a revoked license, speeding, a marked lanes violation, failure to stop for police, operating a motor vehicle recklessly to endanger and failure to use care.
