Brenda M. Ramos, 33, of 10 First St., Salem, was arrested at 2:06 p.m. at the Northshore Mall J.C. Penney by Officer Javier Sanchez on a charge of shoplifting more than $100 worth of merchandise.

Craig C. Piper, 46, of 5 Cleveland St., Salem, was arrested at 2:19 p.m. on Lynnfield Street for drunken driving — he has been convicted previously of the same charge — and having an open container of alcohol.

Police responded to word of a glass door smashed in on Conrad Lane at 5:13 p.m. Nothing appeared to have been taken. The damaged door was boarded over.

Two large, golden dogs appeared on Bartholomew Street at 7:59 p.m. “The officer performed a Christmas miracle and located the owners at the intersection of Bartholomew and Lynnfield,” according to the report.

Anthony Miscioscia, 18, of 7 Oak St., Peabody, was arrested at 9:48 p.m. on Oak Street by Officer Matt Stark on a charge of aggravated domestic assault and battery and wanton destruction of property valued at less than $250. A man had called to complain that his pregnant daughter was “involved in a domestic dispute with her boyfriend, she is parked in the lot and having difficulty breathing,” according to the log.

Eric Duran, 31, of 21 Bowditch St., Peabody, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. on Washington Street on charges of possessing a Class A and Class D drug. In the same incident, Diana N. Cruz, 28, of 18 Bay State Blvd., Peabody, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license, revoked registration and uninsured vehicle. She was also wanted on other warrants.

Saturday

Police dispersed a group of angry people in the vicinity of Oliveira’s Steak House on Walnut Street, according to a 12:35 a.m. log entry. “Many indicated they would continue in their hometowns,” according to the log. Police in Salem and Lynn were notified. In what may have been a related incident, a woman reported seeing a fight next to her car on nearby Paleologos Street, resulting in a smashed passenger-side window, as logged at 12:53 a.m.
