Taran M. Upchurch, 42, of 944 Parker St., Jamaica Plain, was arrested at 8:02 p.m. at the Northshore Mall Macy’s on charges of shoplifting and two counts of receiving stolen property over and under $250 in value.

Danielle M. Yocum, 30, of 254 Winona St., Peabody, was arrested at 10:02 p.m. on Lowell Street on charges of drunken driving and marked lanes violations.


Police have a suspect in the case of a laptop and digital converter stolen from a residence at Mobile Estates on Route 1, according to the 12:23 log entry.



Benjamin M. Walsh, 26, of 57 Maverick St., Marblehead, was arrested at 11:04 a.m. near Ocean Avenue on charge involving “sexual conduct for fee.” Police were initially called to the beach. Responding were Detective Sean Sweeney of the criminal investigation division and officers Dennis Defelice, Brendan Finnegan and Andrew Clark.

Mary Kathleen Champlain, 46, of 140 Essex St., Beverly, was arrested at 6:51 p.m. on Spring Street on charges of drunken driving and negligent driving. Responding was Officer Christopher Gallo.



Kristen Marie Bell, 31, of 812 Boston St. and Leonard Paul Levasseur, 61, of 71 Harwood St., both of Lynn, and Ronald Ray Webster Jr., 38, of 21 Caller St., Peabody, were arrested at 4:42 p.m. at the Highland Avenue Target on charges of larceny over $250. Webster was also charged with disturbing the peace, and Levasseur had an active warrant. Responding were officers Tracy O’Leary and Deni Gaito.

Police carried a cat struck by a car on Webb Street to the feline hospital, according to the log at 6:25 p.m.

A black and white dog with no tag was found on Congress Street. It was turned over to the animal control officer at 7:37 p.m.

Bicyclist Nayroby Polanco, 21, of 10 First St., Salem, was transported for medical care after colliding with a car on Highland Avenue, according to the log at 9:40 p.m.
