Encountering 12 youths, police say one “began to yell and excite the group,” according to the log. He was asked to leave and “began to yell back.”

Multiple cars were involved in an accident on Route 1 at 4:16 p.m. Some injuries were reported. At 5:45 p.m., a second accident with “multiple cars,” according to the log, at Interstate 95 south near Center Street also resulted in injury. State police downplayed the seriousness of the injuries.
