An officer responded after a Wallis Street resident complained at 2:30 p.m. of a vehicle parked on the street “for a year” and determined the vehicle’s inspection had expired on Jan. 14, 2010. It was towed.
Police received a 6:06 p.m. report of a disturbance at 32 Broadway, where a woman said she was trying to collect rosary beads she had loaned another woman. The other woman denied having the beads.
A verbal argument between a parent dropping off a child at school and a crossing guard brought police to Brimbal Avenue and Colon Street at 8:06 a.m. “Both parties spoken to and allowed to go their separate ways,” an officer wrote.
A 5:21 p.m. report of a disturbance brought police to 22 Dublin Road. Gino Martiniello, 33, of 7 Barnstable Road, Peabody, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery. A woman will be summonsed in connection to the incident on charges of domestic assault and battery and destruction of property over $250.
A Central Street man reported at 7:18 p.m. that he believed someone had been entering his apartment when he wasn’t home. “He relates that he has nothing of value and doesn’t notice anything missing,” police wrote.
Police received a 12:01 p.m. report that somebody had tried to pass a counterfeit bill “about an hour ago” at the Hess gas station at 545 Lowell St.
A 12:48 p.m. request for police to assist a woman in removing a person from her apartment at 111 Foster St. resulted in the arrest of Dominick Baker, 24, of 111 Foster St., Apt. 205, Peabody, on a charge of domestic assault.
A woman reported at 4:28 p.m. that her 2000 Honda CRV had been stolen from 20 West Ave. The vehicle was later recovered in Lawrence with damage to the interior, ignition and a tire.
