A 2:09 p.m. report of a shoplifter at Sears at the Northshore Mall resulted in the arrest of Bailey Sheppard, 18, of 56 Washington St., Ipswich, on a charge of shoplifting over $100.
An elderly man with a head injury left Lahey Clinic with his door open and his leg hanging out of the vehicle, according to a 3:57 p.m. report. Ambulance personnel examined him; he refused medical attention.
Police served a warrant at 4:34 p.m. and arrested Kevin Heenan, 23, of 2 Tracey St., Peabody, on charges of possession to distribute of a Class D drug and possession of a Class B drug.
A female reported at 4:49 p.m. that she had been assaulted by her uncle. David Drago, 25, of 248 High St., Medford, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
Police responded to a 7:15 p.m. report that two men near Pierpont Street “started beating on another kid” with a board and a large tree branch. Police were unable to locate any of the youths, but the alleged victim approached police later in the night. “The officer will follow up the incident to determine if any charges will be filed,” police wrote.
A notary stamp and information pertaining to past notaries was reported stolen from an apartment at 286 Newbury St. at 8:59 a.m.
Police were summoned to a gas station at 129 Newbury St. at 9:53 a.m. after a report of a dispute over “how much gas was pumped.” Police wrote later: “Attendant pumped too much gas. Customer agreed to pay for the gas.”
A 2005 Toyota RAV4 was stolen while it was parked on New Derby Street, according to a 4:46 p.m. report.
A Lafayette Street woman reported at 6:56 p.m. that a man she knew “began yelling at her and accusing her of calling the police” before he left the area. Officers were unable to locate him. The woman was advised to call police if he returned.
