Police responded to a 6:55 a.m. report of a domestic assault at the Charles Motel and subsequently arrested Nicole Armstrong, 20, of 4 Mill St., Apt. 6, Peabody, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
A Warren Street woman reported at 12:44 p.m. that her sister had stolen a personal check and cashed it.
An employee of the McDonald’s at 133 Main St. reported a woman had been “huffing cans” and passing out in the store before she was asked to leave. Police were unable to locate her.
A 10:03 a.m. report of gunshots brought police to a bike path near 11 Brookbridge Road, but officers were unable to hear the sounds or locate anything suspicious.
An 83-year-old man was hospitalized with head injuries after he was struck by a vehicle on the eastbound side of Main Street at about 5:10 p.m. An officer said the vehicle which hit him was driven by Judith Wronkowski, 63, of 10 Washington Place, Peabody. The man, who was reported to be unresponsive when police first arrived, was transported to Salem Hospital and then Beth Israel in Boston. Police were trying to contact the man’s relatives and would not release his name. A portion of Main Street was closed to traffic until nearly 8 p.m. while a state police reconstruction team worked at the accident site.
Police responded to a 5:55 p.m. report of a man “walking around staring at houses” at Cornell and Amherst roads and determined he lived in the area and was just out for a walk.
A vehicle on Cedar Street was broken into and a GPS device stolen, according to a 4:31 p.m. report.
Police received a 4:02 p.m. report that a man had kicked and broken a door at 116 Lafayette St. and subsequently arrested Alex Ledford, 17, of 42 Newhall St., Lynn, on a charge of malicious destruction of property over $250.
