5 arrested on gun charge in Swampscott

SWAMPSCOTT — Police arrested five people early Sunday morning in connection with the possession of a .357 revolver.

Thus far, police have offered few detail of what preceded the arrest by Officer Saverio Caruso on Paradise Road at 2:30 a.m. All are held on the same charge, possession of a firearm; the charge involves a single weapon.

Those arrested are: Andre Spriggs, 27, of 122 North Point Drive, Dorchester; Robert Hood, 31, 75 Scotch Pond Place, Quincy; Benjamin Alford, 32, 12 Westville Terrace, Dorchester; Darrell Flint, 24, 12 Arcadia St., Boston; and Kayte Torref, 30, Berlin, N.H.
