Police received a 2:24 p.m. report that a woman on Water Street was harassing National Grid workers.
Officers responded to a 4:50 p.m. report of a domestic dispute at 89 Essex St. and determined that no such address existed. “The number went from 85 Essex to 91 Essex Street,” wrote police. The officers checked the area but found nothing amiss.
Police observed a man drinking a beer in the area of 29 New Derby St. at 6:54 p.m., according to the log. Police arrested Kevin Leslie, 23, of 33 Farley Ave., Ipswich, on charges of illegal possession of a class B substance and a violation of the city’s knife ordinance, and Eamon Padraic Smyth, 22, of 79 Lothrop St., Beverly, on charges of drinking in public and littering.
Officers were unable to locate a suspicious couple who were reportedly “being intimate” near 32 Clifton Ave., according to a 7:55 p.m. log item.
A female at Salem Willows reported to an officer at 7:58 p.m. that a white male dressed all in black was possibly taking photos of children. The officer found the man, but he said he wasn’t “taking pictures of minors or females, just taking pictures of adults.” The officer asked to look at the photos but the man wasn’t using a digital camera.
The Fire Department extinguished a fire in a trash bin at 255 Jefferson Ave. at 8:20 p.m., according to the log.
Police conducted a traffic stop at 311 Derby St. at 9:15 p.m. Jennifer M. Morrill, 27, of 72 Cabot St., Beverly, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of drugs and operating without a license.
A traffic stop on Congress Street at 10:11 p.m. led to the arrest of Daniel J. Feeney, 31, of 22 Hancock Ave., Medford, on charges of illegal possession of a class E substance, two counts of illegal possession of a class B substance, carrying a dangerous weapon, failure to yield, a violation of the city’s knife ordinance and a marked lanes violation.
