The claim at 12:16 p.m. was a purse stolen from an unlocked car near the Northshore Mall Nordstrom. But the security video showed the vehicle “was not entered while parked at that location,” according to the log.

After “several weeks” on Bartholomew Street, a vehicle drew the attention of residents and was soon confirmed stolen from Haverhill, according to the log at 12:57 p.m.



Robert Morris, 47, of 152 Endicott St., Danvers, was arrested at 2:38 a.m. by Officer Michael Balsley on Centre Street on charges of drunken driving, having an open container of alcohol and marked lanes violations.

An accident with injury was reported at 7:59 a.m. on Elliott Street.

Police were contacted at 3:04 p.m. regarding a larceny involving sneakers.

Bailey Bouchard, 18, of 78 Tremont St., Salem, was arrested at 3:27 p.m. at the Liberty Tree Mall Kohl’s by Officer Richard Barthelmess on a charge of shoplifting.


Officers investigated a report of domestic assault and battery at the Route 1 Extended Stay Inn, according to the log at 12:06 a.m.

Reports of threats and malicious damage to a door brought police to Locust Street, as logged at 1:45 p.m.

Police were alerted at 4:16 p.m. to a report of an attempted break-in on Sanford Court.



Police were called to a report of a dog being thrown from a vehicle. But it wasn’t as ugly as it sounded. A witness told them that a neighbor has two pit bulls and “when someone opened the door to the car, one of the pit bulls jumped out of the car and ran,” according to the log at 9:33 p.m.

Dameon Robert Burks, 34, of 24 Norman St., Salem, was arrested at 10:17 p.m. by Patrolmen Daniel Tucker and William Jennings on a charge of domestic assault and battery. Police had responded to a report of “roommate trashing apartment.”
