Police received a 10:35 p.m. report of shoplifting at Target and arrested Matthew Waters, 32, of 4 First St., Salem, on a charge of shoplifting by price-tag tampering.

Friday

A ring was reported stolen from a room at the Comfort Inn at 8:05 a.m.

Sunday

Police fielded a 5:03 p.m. report of assault at the skate park at 59 Conant St.

Police received a 5:31 p.m. report that a water balloon had been thrown at a car at 116 Water St.

An 8:38 p.m. report of shoplifting at Walmart resulted in the arrest of Stephen Howes, 23, of 252 Newbury St., Peabody, on a charge of shoplifting.
