Somebody was banging on a door at 22 Dublin Road, according to a 12:05 a.m. report.

The driver’s-side window of a vehicle parked at 52 Tracey St. was smashed overnight, according to an 8:25 a.m. report.

Police received a 10:31 a.m. report that a shoplifter stole a 46-inch LCD television from Sears at the Northshore Mall and drove away in a green truck.

Beverly

Monday

Officers who spoke to the occupants of a suspicious vehicle after following it to 5 Eaton St. around 9:41 p.m. detected a “strong smell” of burnt marijuana coming from inside, according to the log. Police wrote: “Observed in plain sight a very large glass marijuana pipe by the feet of the back-seat passenger.” Police searched the vehicle but found nothing illegal besides the pipe, which an officer broke with a flashlight and put into a nearby recycling bin. Police wrote the passenger “laughed and said he would just buy another one online for $50, he then told me that I was his hero.”

Kids threw eggs at an SUV at 51 Putnam St., according to a 10:18 p.m. report. Police were unable to locate them.

Tuesday

A woman in her 50s was transported to Beverly Hospital with unspecified injuries after her vehicle struck a telephone pole on Bridge Street just before 9 p.m., Deputy fire Chief William Walsh said. A portion of the road at County Way was closed to traffic after the accident.

Tuesday

A portion of Paradise Road was shut down around 5 p.m. while the Fire Department investigated an odor of gas and a hissing noise at a National Grid substation. Lt. Sheila Scranton said nothing unusual was found.

Danvers

Tuesday

At 7:11 a.m., police arrested Demetrius Cockhren, 25, of 43 Nichols St., Danvers, on charges of domestic assault and battery and intimidation of a witness.
