Wednesday

Overhead wires were sparking at Cabot and Colon streets, according to a 5:43 p.m. report. An officer was unable to locate them.

Police responded to a 7:12 p.m. report of assault at 10 High St. and arrested Jonnha Jerome, 17, of 6 Echo Ave., Beverly, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

A man was taken into protective custody after a 10:39 p.m. report of an intoxicated person breaking things in a home at 150 Dodge St.

Peabody

Wednesday

Police responded to a 3:48 p.m. report of assault at 41 Rockway Road and arrested Paul E. Bourgeois, 23, of 41 Rockway Road, Peabody, and Katelyn Hart, 20, of 273 Lynnfield St., Lynn, each on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

An odor of sulfur gas was reported at 75 Walnut St. at 10:56 p.m., but an officer wasn’t able to detect it.

Thursday

A 12:14 a.m. report of a domestic dispute brought police to 10 Winter St., where they arrested Joao Babilon, 28, of 10 Winter St., Peabody, on charges of three counts of domestic assault and battery, three counts of threatening to commit a crime, and witness intimidation.

Police received an 8:28 a.m. report of a “disoriented” coyote at 407 Lowell St., but an officer determined it was just a loose dog.

Wednesday

A woman reported at 5:15 p.m. that she had been bitten on the right leg by a dog after being warned to “watch out” for it by a man walking it on Gardner Street. The woman declined medical attention but “did wish to have the dog owner pay for her pants,” police wrote. The man agreed.

Police received a 5:47 p.m. report that a public defender had been threatened by a man he was representing because of a misunderstanding over a court date. Police informed the man of the new date and advised him to stop threatening his lawyer.
