A 32-year-old Saugus man was taken to Salem Hospital with a leg injury following a two-car crash at 3:55 p.m. at the intersection of Lynnfield and County streets. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Carlos Rodrigues, 30, of 64 Tremont St., Apt. 2, Peabody, was arrested at 4:17 p.m. on Aborn Street on a charge (two counts) of violating a restraining order.

Staff at J.C. Penney in the Northshore Mall detained two teenagers at 6:02 p.m. on suspicion of shoplifting. The 17-year-old girls from Lynn will be summonsed to court on charges of attempting to steal $168 worth of merchandise.
The Stop & Shop on Howley Street reported at 6:30 p.m. that a man tried to roll off with a grocery cart filled with $320 worth of food. The man fled, but the store recovered the cart and groceries.
