SALEM — The arraignment of two men charged with moving the body of an apparent drug overdose victim out of a controversial rooming house has been postponed to next month.
Raymond Young, 58, of 87 Federal St., and Richard Hollett, 47, of 81/2 Herbert St., have been charged in connection with the Nov. 9 incident at Hilltop Manor, a rooming house that was being used as a "sober house" for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts, according to court officials.
They were scheduled to be in court today, but the arraignment has been moved to March 7.
A third man, Joseph Encarnacion, 27, who resided at the 179 Boston St. rooming house, was arraigned last week, given bail and released on personal recognizance, according to the Essex County District Attorney's Office.
A pretrial hearing for Encarnacion is also set for March 7.
The body of a 29-year-old Lynn man was moved from Encarnacion's apartment to Young's Federal Street house in Hollett's truck, according to police.
The body of a second apparent overdose victim was found Dec. 4 at the same rooming house, which has a hearing before the Licensing Board Monday night.
