Police respond to NSCC

DANVERS — Police responded to a professor who "had an incident in class," but an arrest was not made, according to Linda Brantley, director of public relations at North Shore Community College.

"Students were never in danger," Brantley said.

Brantley said because the incident was a personnel matter, she could not discuss what caused police to be dispatched to campus, confirm the faculty member's name or describe the incident.

"If any (course) changes are made, I'm sure the people involved will be notified," she said.

According to police logs, the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. At press time, Danvers police did not have further information about the incident.
