A Herold Road man reported at 6:19 a.m. that he had a live skunk in his pool. An officer advised him “to use the skimmer to get the skunk out,” according to the log. Police wrote later: “Skunk removed from pool. All in order.”
Police received a 8:54 a.m. report that an elderly woman suffering from dementia had made statements about a harming a dog in front of children on Franklin Avenue.
A man reported at 5:56 a.m. that when he left for work he had seen an older pickup truck parked a little ways up the hill from his residence on Barnstable Street. “Caller stated that this truck slowly drove away after he noticed it,” wrote police. “Other than being white and out of place the caller did not get a plate number or make of the truck. Also note it was trash day, possibly was a trash picker.”
A 4:51 p.m. report that a former patient was refusing to leave Beverly Hospital resulted in the arrest of Fletcher Bennett Coleman, 21, of 303 Frog City Road, Plymouth, Vt., on a charge of trespassing.
Police received a 6:03 p.m. report that a child had been shot in the arm with an Airsoft gun at Goldway Park. Police wrote that the boy had been with classmates when he was “teased by them and he gave it right back,” leading one of them to shoot him with a pellet. Police located the boy in question and brought him and his gun back to his mother on Pleasant Street.
A 7:13 p.m. report of a mother-daughter domestic dispute brought police to 50 Apple Road. Connie J. Peterson, 57, of the same address, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery on a person over 60 or disabled and intimidation of a witness.
