Wednesday

A woman reported at 8:51 p.m. that a white male in his late teens had circled her on a bicycle as she walked home on Jersey Street the night before. “Caller said the male came up on her right and circled her repeatedly,” wrote police. “Oh his third pass around the male made a ‘whoop’ sound at her.” When she replied “What?” the male said “I’m just saying hello,” according to the log. The woman told him to “[expletive] off” and continued on her way.

Skateboarders reported at 1:22 p.m. that a van with Washington plates had “opened the door and struck one of the skateboarders” on Atlantic Avenue. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

A woman reported that there was a loud party “with kids involved” on Green Street at 11:29 p.m. “She stated she knew the kids do drugs,” wrote an officer. Later: “Owner stated the party had ended. No disturbance at this time.”

Swampscott

Wednesday

A Crossman Avenue resident reported at 9:37 a.m. that $1,599.50 had been charged to his or her American Express credit card without permission.

Somebody had two large dogs on Eisman’s Beach, according to a 4:47 p.m. report. An officer wrote later: “Was a service dog and dog was now off beach.”

Police received an 11:13 p.m. report of a “large group of loud youths” at the park near Eisman’s Beach. An officer wrote later that it was “just a couple of kids” and that they were leaving.

Peabody

Wednesday

Police conducted a traffic stop on Lynn Street at 3:10 p.m. and gave a verbal warning to a motorist for failing to yield to a fire engine.

A female reported at 3:12 p.m. that the Chihuahua she was dogsitting had escaped its Perley Avenue home. She called back later to report that she had located the animal.
