A resident at 41 Hancock St. was issued a $200 citation at 2:32 a.m. for a loud party.
Police went to Orange Street at 3:29 a.m. on a possible domestic incident. Two residents of the home said they were having a verbal dispute over a toilet seat. They said they would go to their own rooms and go to bed.
At 5:58 a.m., police went to Highland Avenue on a report of a woman passed out in a motor vehicle. The woman told police her car broke down on the way home to Lynn. The car was towed and police gave the woman a ride home.
A resident on Heritage Drive told police that overnight someone slashed the convertible top of his 2001 Ford Mustang.
A cyclist was struck by a car at 2:22 p.m. at Essex Street and Warren Court. The student told police he was walking his bike across a crosswalk and was hit by a car when he got on the bike at the end of the crosswalk. He said the car was a blue or green Chrysler with New Hampshire plates and three female occupants. He said the driver asked if he was OK before driving away. The cyclist had a contusion on his knee.
Police went to Highland Avenue at Valley Street at 6:39 p.m. for a motor vehicle accident. Chabeli Gonzalez, 19, of Salem, was issued a citation for failure to yield for an approaching motor vehicle.
Five people were arrested on charges of drinking in public at Forest River Park at 10:11 p.m. They are: Monica Ballarano, 19, of Dedham; Andrew T. Brennan, 23, of Sandwich; Madeline R. Meservey, 20, of Chatham; Nicholas D. Pantazi, 20, of Rowley; and Siobhan B. Riodan, 19, of Quincy. Ballarano, Meservey, Pantazi, and Riodan were additionally charged with drinking under the age of 21.
Tyler D. Bayko, 19, of Waltham, was arrested by Salem State University police on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct on Loring Avenue at 11:13 p.m. He was booked at the Salem Police Station.
