Beverly

Monday

A 7:51 p.m. report of a chimney fire brought the Fire Department and police to 5 Tyler Road, where they determined that buildup in the chimney had produced a lot of smoke but there was no actual damage to the home. Fire personnel “took all the wood out of the wood stove and advised owner to have chimney cleaned,” police wrote.

An 8:08 p.m. report of a fight inside an apartment on Chestnut Street resulted in the arrest of Walter Burns, 50, of 3 Chestnut St., Beverly, on a charge of domestic assault and battery and Suzanne Lefave, 24, of 3 Chestnut St., Beverly, on a charge of domestic assault.

Tuesday

A woman was transported to Beverly Hospital as a precaution after she fell on the stairs of the Beverly Public Library around noon. The woman complained of ankle and back pain.

A Park Street resident reported at 1:14 p.m. that all four tires of a vehicle had been slashed.

Monday

Police responded to a 3:06 p.m. report of a neighborhood dispute at 5 Elizabeth Lane and found that neighbors there were arguing “over leaves being blown back and forth between the yards and who was responsible for the cleanup.”

The operator of a 2007 Mini Cooper was transported to Salem Hospital with unspecified injuries after a rollover accident at 133 Forest St. that was first reported to police at 5:12 p.m.

Police received multiple calls just before 7 p.m. of an intoxicated woman stumbling into Lowell Street. A woman was subsequently evaluated at the scene by Atlantic Ambulance and released.

Tuesday

Police received an 11:33 a.m. report that a car on Aborn Street had been broken into and nearly $1,000 worth of items were stolen, including a iPad, an iPod touch, a car charger, a GPS and a gym bag.

Monday

Police received a 6:20 p.m. report of kids running in a hallway at 10 First St.
