Police received a 9:55 a.m. report of a fight at 11 Gardner St., where a woman said she was about to lend her friend $100 when the woman “grabbed her money and fled the house into a van.” The woman who allegedly took the money stopped by the police station later on to “tell her side of what took place,” saying that the two women had begun arguing and that she struck her friend with her fists in an attempt to defend herself. Police arrested Shannon O’Hare, 31, of 27 Pike St., Salisbury, on charges of armed robbery and assault and battery by a dangerous weapon, as well as a warrant out of Chelmsford. The woman who was allegedly robbed later told police there was no robbery and that “O’Hare only came over to get money that she was borrowing from her” and “she thought a bat was used, but then she realized that O’Hare was only striking her with her fists.”

A man crashed his Ford Focus into a brick wall near Dock 24 at Shetland Park after he spilled hot coffee on his lap, according to a 10:32 a.m. report. The car sustained front-end damage and the air bags deployed, but the man was reportedly not injured.
