Lynn man arrested twice on disorderly conduct charges

PEABODY — Police say a Lynn man was arrested for disorderly conduct twice in the course of about three hours on Sunday evening.

According to the incident log, an officer responded to Stop & Shop at 19 Howley St. after an 8:37 p.m. report that an unwanted man was refusing to come out of the store’s bathroom.

Jeffrey Thomas Alexander, 29, of 29 Laurel St., Lynn, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, subsequent offense; operating with a revoked registration; and having an uninsured motor vehicle.

Lt. Arthur Yeo said Alexander was booked at the station at 9:08 p.m. and then bailed out. He was arrested again when an officer responded to 7-Eleven at 100 Lynn St. at 11:49 p.m. for a report that a man was causing problems with customers. This time, he was charged with disorderly conduct, subsequent offense, and shoplifting.

After the second incident, Alexander was kept at the station until it was time for court in the morning, Yeo said.
