---- — PEABODY — Police say a Salem man with a suspended license and a vehicle with a suspended registration was arrested on his third drunken driving charge after a traffic stop yesterday morning.
Russel McGlone, 53, of 123 Boston St., Apt. 1, was arrested on charges of drunken driving, third offense; operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense; and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, subsequent offense.
At 9:23 a.m., an officer observed McGlone’s vehicle take a wide turn into the Peabody Coffee House on Walnut Street, said Lt. Arthur Yeo. The officer ran the vehicle’s information and determined its registration had been suspended and that its owner also had a suspended license, prompting the stop.
McGlone was arrested after he failed field sobriety tests, Yeo said.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
