Police responded to a report of a “person lying in the street” on Pine Street, according to 4:03 a.m. report. A 21-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
A window of a car was reported smashed at 51 Massachusetts Ave. at 6:25 a.m.
A senior center van parked at 25 Stone St. was reported vandalized at 10:53 a.m.
A 33-year-old woman will be summonsed to court after allegedly shoplifting over $100 from Hollister Co. and Abercrombie & Fitch at the Northshore Mall, according to 3:14 p.m. report.
Joshua J. Gauthier, 32, of 14 Collins St., Apt. 24, Peabody, was arrested at the police station on a warrant out of Salem District Court for threatening to commit a crime. Gauthier was at the police station reporting vandalism to a car when he was arrested, according to a 6:38 p.m. report.
Approximately 165 pairs of women’s underwear, worth an estimated $2,392, were reported stolen from Victoria’s Secret at the Northshore Mall, according to a 8:36 p.m. report.
After police responded to 8 Fairview Ave. on a report of a house party, 14 people were summonsed to court on charges of being minors in possession of alcohol, according to 12:49 a.m. report.
A resident of 189 Lynnfield St. reported to police at 12:28 p.m. that an unknown person shot an arrow at his house. “He does not know when this happened or who shot the arrow,” the report read.
Rebecca H. Gallagher, 19, homeless, was arrested on two active warrants after Beverly police notified Salem police with information that she was staying at 13 Palmer St., according to a 7:12 p.m. report. “As Gallagher was being arrested she was both physically and verbally abusive towards officers,” according to the report.
After receiving a tip that a drug deal might be going down, police gave a citation to a man who admitted to “just purchasing marijuana” in a parking lot after a traffic stop at the intersection of School and Tremont streets, according to a 7:56 p.m. report. “A small amount of marijuana was seized for destruction,” the report said.
Timothy Y. McCarthy, 40, of 80 Lowell St., Peabody, was arrested on a charge of violating the city’s knife ordinance after police observed “two male parties engage in suspicious activity in the area of 42 Boston St.,” according to a 9:30 p.m. report. Also arrested was Brendan M. Thomas, 26, 12 Pope St., Salem, on charges of violating the city’s knife ordinance and illegal possession of a class E substance (gabapentin), according to the report.
Melissa Lefebvre, 26, of 47 Roslyn St., Salem, was arrested on warrant for receiving stolen property over $250. She was walking in the area of Congress and Leavitt streets when officers arrested her, according to a 5:02 p.m. report.
Police responded to 46 Leach St. at 5:31 p.m. on a report of “stolen flowers.” The report indicates that the flowers were stolen from the front porch of the home. The missing flowers include one hanging fuchsia plant, six potted dahlias, eight marigolds, eight snapdragons and eight potted salvias, according to the report. There are no suspects or witnesses.
Matthew J. Ribaudo, 34, of 20 Indian Hill Lane, Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating after a license suspension after being pulled over at the intersection of Highland and Ravenna avenues, according to a 6:43 p.m. report.
Laura E. Gaunt, 25, of 106 Rockland St., Swampscott, was arrested on a charge of drunken driving on Columbus Avenue, according to a 11:03 p.m. report.
Francis A. Flaherty, 34, homeless, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery on Bridge Street at 11:43 p.m.
Nicole E. Comppen, 22, 10 Beckett St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of drunken driving after driving into a parked car at Washington Square East and Forrester Street, according to a 1:02 a.m. report.
Flowers were reported stolen from 50 Ocean Ave. at 7:17 a.m. According to the police report, the resident said eight flowers planted around a tree were dug up and taken. Neighbors did not see anything, according to the report.
Candy E. Avalo-Garcia, 24, of 34 Rainbow Terrace, Salem, was arrested on a charge of malicious destruction of property over $250, according to 7:40 a.m. report. Police responded to the area of 20 Osgood St. on a report of a fight in the street when Avalo-Garcia was arrested.
Kenneth M. Dumas, 30, of 41 Elliott St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting over $100 from the Walmart on Highland Avenue, according to 12:12 p.m. report.
